Good value, needs calibration
Great little module for the price. You do need to calibrate the thresholds in your code depending on the liquid conductivity, but once set up, it's reliable. Just remember not to leave it powered constantly to reduce corrosion.

Solid component for prototyping
Exactly what I needed for a quick proof-of-concept. The KF2510 interface is a nice touch compared to bare pins. Response time is instant when the water level changes.

Works well for plant monitoring
Using this to monitor reservoir levels for my hydroponic setup. It gives a good general idea of the water level. I wish the traces were gold-plated for longer life in humid conditions, but for the price, it's acceptable.

Perfect for my rain gauge project
This sensor works exactly as described. The analog output is smooth and easy to read with an Arduino. I used it to build a simple rain collector monitor, and the KF2510 connector made wiring very clean.

Easy to integrate
As a beginner, I found this very easy to use. There are plenty of tutorials online for this specific type of sensor. The analog signal makes it simple to map water levels from empty to full.

Reliable and sturdy
I've tested this in a small water tank prototype for over two weeks. The traces are holding up well, and the readings are consistent. The form factor is slim enough to fit into tight enclosures.
Q: Does this module come with a cable?
A: The module includes the pin header for the KF2510 connector, but the mating cable is usually sold separately. You can easily crimp your own or purchase a standard KF2510 3-pin wire harness.
Q: Can this sensor be used with saltwater?
A: While it will detect saltwater, we do not recommend long-term use with corrosive liquids like saltwater as it will accelerate the oxidation of the copper traces, reducing the sensor's lifespan.
Q: How can I prevent the traces from corroding?
A: To extend the life of the sensor, only power the module when taking a reading using a digital pin on your microcontroller, rather than connecting VCC directly to 5V. This reduces electrolysis.
Q: What is the maximum depth this can measure?
A: The sensor measures level based on how many traces are submerged. The effective range is limited to the length of the exposed trace area on the PCB, which is approximately 60mm.
Q: Is the output digital or analog?
A: This specific model provides an analog voltage output proportional to the water level. If you need a digital signal, you would need to add a comparator circuit or handle the thresholding in your microcontroller code.
