Reliable and durable
My son has dropped his robot multiple times, and this sensor still works perfectly. The PH2.0 connector is secure and doesn't pop off easily during movement.

Good value for money
Works as described. Documentation could be a bit more detailed for absolute beginners, but there are plenty of online tutorials that help.

Standard component done right
If you are building with HelloSTEM blocks, this is a must-have. The form factor fits perfectly, and the analog readings are stable without much noise.

Great educational tool
Bought this for my robotics club. Students found it easy to integrate into their projects. The only reason for 4 stars is that the cable could be slightly longer.

Excellent sensitivity
The grayscale detection is very accurate. It can distinguish between dark gray tape and black lines easily when calibrated. Highly recommended for advanced projects.

Perfect for line follower robots
This sensor works flawlessly with my HelloSTEM kit. The analog output allows for very smooth line tracking compared to digital sensors I've used before. Setup was instant.
Q: Is this sensor compatible with Arduino boards?
A: Yes, since it uses a standard analog output and PH2.0 interface, you can easily connect it to an Arduino using a simple adapter cable.
Q: Does this work on carpeted surfaces?
A: Line tracking sensors generally work best on smooth, flat surfaces like tile, wood, or printed paper maps. Carpet textures may interfere with accurate line detection.
Q: Can I use multiple sensors on one robot?
A: Absolutely! You can connect multiple sensors to different analog input ports on your controller to create an array for more precise line following.
Q: Does the package include the connecting cable?
A: Yes, each sensor module comes with one PH2.0 connecting cable suitable for HelloSTEM building blocks.
Q: What is the maximum speed a robot can go while using this sensor?
A: The speed depends on your robot's processor and code efficiency, but most users achieve stable tracking at speeds up to 0.5 meters per second with proper PID tuning.
