Good accuracy, compact size
I tested this against a calibrated clamp meter and the readings were within 1% error. It is quite small which fits well in my tight enclosure. Only giving 4 stars because the documentation could be more detailed regarding wiring diagrams.

Great value for money

Reliable industrial sensor
We deployed ten of these units in a pilot program for monitoring single-phase motors. They have been running 24/7 for three months without any drift or failure. Highly recommended for industrial automation tasks.

Works well but runs slightly warm
The sensor functions correctly and the signal is stable. I noticed it gets slightly warm to the touch when operating at full 5A load, but it stays within the specified temperature range. No issues so far.

Easy integration

Perfect for my home energy monitor
This transformer module works exactly as described. The output voltage scales linearly with the current, making it very easy to interface with my Arduino project. Installation was straightforward with the screw terminals.
Q: What is the maximum wire gauge that fits the input terminals?
A: The screw terminals can accommodate wires up to 12 AWG (approx. 4mm²), which is sufficient for the rated 5A current capacity.
Q: How do I calibrate the output if my reading is slightly off?
A: Most units are factory calibrated. However, minor adjustments can be made via the potentiometer located on the side of the PCB using a small screwdriver while referencing a standard meter.
Q: Can this be used for DC current measurement?
A: No, this specific model is designed strictly for Single-Phase AC current measurement (50/60Hz). It will not provide accurate readings for DC applications.
Q: Does this module require an external power supply to operate?
A: Yes, this is an active transmitter. It requires a separate DC power supply between 12V and 24V to generate the output signal.
Q: Is the output signal isolated from the high voltage input?
A: Yes, the module provides galvanic isolation rated at 2500V AC, ensuring safety for your low-voltage control circuits.
