Reliable stop screws

Bought these for a manufacturing line repair. They held up under significant vibration and load. The headless design allowed for a flush mount which was exactly what we needed. Will order again.

Perfect fit for automotive projects

Great value assortment

Perfect for my workshop needs. Having the range from M3 to M16 in one box saves time. The black oxide finish looks professional. Only giving 4 stars because the M4 count was slightly lower than expected, but overall very satisfied.

Excellent quality for heavy machinery

These grade 12.9 screws are incredibly strong. I used them to secure a large gear on a conveyor belt system, and they haven't slipped once under high torque. The hex sockets are precise and didn't strip during installation.

Solid industrial fasteners

Good product for the price. The threads are clean and roll on easily. I wish the packaging had better separators for the different sizes, as they got mixed up during shipping, but the screws themselves are top-notch.

Q: Are these screws suitable for use in high-temperature environments?

A: While Grade 12.9 alloy steel has good strength, standard black oxide finishes may degrade above 200°C. For extreme heat applications, we recommend consulting our specialized high-temperature fastener catalog.

Q: Does the cup point damage the shaft permanently?

A: The cup point is designed to dig slightly into the shaft to prevent slipping under torque. This will leave a small indentation. If you need to avoid marking the shaft, please consider our flat point or dog point set screw variants.

Q: Is the thread pitch coarse or fine for the M12 size?

A: All screws in this assorted kit feature standard Metric Coarse threads. For M12, the pitch is 1.75mm. We do offer fine pitch options in separate listings if your project requires them.

Q: Can these be used on stainless steel shafts without galling?

A: Since these are alloy steel and not stainless steel, the risk of galling is significantly reduced compared to using stainless-on-stainless. However, applying an anti-seize compound is always recommended for dissimilar metals or difficult removal scenarios.

Q: What size Allen key do I need for the M8 screw?

A: For an M8 socket head cup point set screw, you will typically need a 6mm Allen key (hex wrench). Please refer to the specific dimensional chart included in the product manual for tolerance details.
