Good strength, sharp threads

Very sharp self-tapping threads made drilling pilot holes unnecessary for softwood. The blue-white finish is distinct. One star off because the box was slightly dented on arrival, but the screws inside were fine.

Exactly as described

A: While they are zinc-plated for some corrosion resistance, we recommend using stainless steel or heavily coated screws for prolonged outdoor exposure to ensure maximum longevity.

Q: Is the Phillips head compatible with Pozidriv drivers?

A: Yes, a standard Phillips driver will work, but for optimal torque transfer and to reduce slipping, a Pozidriv (PZ) driver is often preferred for this type of cross recess.

Q: What is the difference between M4 and M5 sizes?

A: M4 refers to a 4mm nominal diameter, while M5 is 5mm. Please check your project specifications to ensure you select the correct diameter for your load requirements.

Q: Can these be used with metal studs?

A: These are primarily designed for wood and extended panels. For metal studs, we recommend using screws specifically engineered with a different thread pitch for metal applications.

Q: Do I need to pre-drill holes for hardwood?

A: For very dense hardwoods, we suggest pre-drilling a small pilot hole to prevent the wood from splitting, although the self-tapping design works well on most standard woods without it.
