A bit hard initially
The rosin is quite hard out of the box. I had to scratch the surface slightly to get it to apply evenly, but it works fine now.

A: Generally, we recommend applying rosin every 4 to 6 hours of playing time, or whenever you notice a decrease in bow grip.
Q: Is this rosin suitable for a beginner violinist?
A: Yes, this universal rosin block is designed to work well for players of all skill levels, including beginners.
Q: Can I use this on an electric upright bass?
A: Absolutely. As long as your electric upright bass uses a traditional bow, this rosin will provide the necessary friction.
Q: Does this come with a case?
A: It comes wrapped in a protective cloth pouch to keep it safe from breaking, but a hard case is not included.
