Stylish and safe
Love the classic look of the suede. They passed tech inspection at my local track day without any issues. Only wish they came in more color options.

Decent but laces loosen quickly
The shoes themselves are great, but I find myself having to retighten the elastic laces frequently. Adding a double knot solves it, but it's a minor annoyance.

Good fit, runs slightly narrow
Quality is top-notch as expected from Sparco. I would recommend going up half a size if you have wider feet. Otherwise, they grip the pedals perfectly.

Excellent pedal sensitivity
The thin sole provides great feedback on the brake and throttle. The dual velcro straps keep everything secure even during high-G corners. Highly recommended.

Best bang for your buck
You cannot beat this price for FIA 8856-2018 certified gear. They are lightweight and breathable. My feet stay cool even during long endurance stints.

Perfect for my first season
These shoes are incredibly comfortable right out of the box. The suede feels durable, and the pedal feel is excellent for an entry-level shoe. Great value for FIA certification.
Q: Are these shoes suitable for professional Formula racing?
A: While these shoes meet the FIA 8856-2018 safety standard, they are designed specifically for entry-level karting and club racing. Professional series may require specific manufacturer approvals beyond the base FIA standard.
Q: Do these come with a storage bag?
A: Yes, all new pairs of Sparco Slalom shoes come with a branded drawstring cotton storage bag to protect them when not in use.
Q: What is the expiration date on the FIA certification?
A: The FIA 8856-2018 standard does not have a fixed expiration date printed on the label like helmets do. However, you should inspect the shoes regularly for wear and tear, and replace them immediately if the flame-retardant properties are compromised by oil or damage.
Q: How do I determine the correct size?
A: Sparco racing shoes generally fit true to EU sizing. We recommend measuring your foot in centimeters and comparing it to our size chart. If you are between sizes, sizing up is usually more comfortable for thick racing socks.
Q: Can I drive normally with these shoes?
A: While technically possible, we do not recommend using these for daily driving. The thin soles designed for pedal sensitivity can wear down quickly on asphalt, and the suede upper is not intended for walking long distances.
