Exceeded expectations

The Nuvo TooT is fantastic. It's quiet enough for home practice without disturbing neighbors but loud enough for ensemble playing. The blue accents look sharp too!

Great classroom instrument

Bought five of these for our music program. They are easy to clean and withstand heavy use by students. The only downside is the case could be slightly more padded, but for the price, it's excellent.

Unbreakable and fun

As a teacher, I love that these don't dent or bend. The keys have a nice action, not too stiff for small hands. Highly recommend for any elementary music curriculum.

Surprisingly good tone

I was skeptical about a plastic piccolo, but the tone quality rivals some entry-level metal models. It responds well to breath control and is very forgiving for beginners learning embouchure.

Perfect for my 7-year-old

Q: Is this piccolo suitable for adult beginners or just children?

A: While designed with smaller hands in mind, adults can certainly use it for practice or as a travel instrument. The key spacing is compact, so those with larger hands might find it slightly tight but still playable.

Q: Is the case hard or soft?

A: It comes with a semi-rigid molded case that provides good protection against bumps and drops while remaining lightweight for students to carry in backpacks.

Q: Can this instrument be tuned to standard pitch?

A: Yes, the headjoint is adjustable, allowing you to tune the instrument to standard A=440Hz. Like all wind instruments, it may require slight adjustment based on room temperature.

Q: How do I clean the inside of the flute?

A: Use the included cleaning rod with a soft cloth or gauze. Since it is made of polycarbonate, you can also rinse the body with lukewarm water occasionally, but ensure it is completely dry before storing.

Q: Does it come with a neck strap?

A: No, the Nuvo TooT Piccolo does not include a neck strap. However, it is lightweight enough that most players do not require one. You can purchase a universal flute strap separately if needed.
