Exceptional Tone Quality
The projection on this piccolo is incredible. The ebony body gives it a warm, rich sound that cuts through the orchestra without being shrill. Highly recommended for serious players.

Great instrument, stiff keys initially
Beautiful craftsmanship and intonation is spot on. The keys were a bit stiff out of the box but loosened up after a week of playing. Overall very satisfied with the purchase.

Beautiful finish, loud volume
The gloss finish is stunning. It is quite a loud instrument, which is great for outdoor concerts but might be too much for small practice rooms without a mute.

Perfect for Professional Use
I upgraded from a composite model and the difference is night and day. The response in the third octave is effortless. The case is also very sturdy for travel.

Superb Intonation
Intonation across all registers is remarkably consistent. The silver plating on the keys looks elegant and feels durable. A worthy investment for any woodwind musician.

Hans Haynes delivers again
This is my second Hans Haynes instrument. The build quality is consistent and reliable. The AP-86T model has a very focused core to the sound.
Q: Does this piccolo come with a cleaning rod and swab?
A: Yes, the package includes a wooden cleaning rod, a silk swab, and cork grease to help you maintain the instrument.
Q: Is the headjoint adjustable for tuning?
A: The headjoint features a traditional tenon connection that allows for slight pulling out or pushing in to adjust pitch, typical for professional ebony piccolos.
Q: Are replacement pads available for this specific model?
A: Yes, we stock genuine replacement pads and springs for the AP-86T series. They can be ordered directly through our parts department.
Q: Can this instrument handle outdoor marching band conditions?
A: While durable, solid ebony can be sensitive to extreme temperature changes and humidity. We recommend using a composite headjoint or taking extra care in extreme weather.
Q: What is the return policy if the intonation doesn't suit my style?
A: We offer a 30-day return window for unused instruments in original condition. Please contact our support team to initiate a return request.
