Essential for archival prints

Consistent results every time

Great product, strong odor
Works exactly as advertised for removing fixer residue. The only downside is the smell, which is quite potent, so ensure your darkroom has good ventilation. Otherwise, it's a fantastic solution.

Good value for the volume
The 1L bottle lasts a very long time since you only need a small amount per batch. It works well for both fiber-based and resin-coated papers. Took off one star because the cap can be a bit tricky to open sometimes.

Must-have for B&W developers
If you are doing any serious black and white processing, you need this. It ensures all the fixer is gone, preventing yellowing over time. Simple to use and highly effective.
Q: Can this be used with color film processing?
A: No, this product is specifically formulated for black and white film and paper. It is not suitable for C-41 or E-6 color processes.
Q: What is the shelf life once the bottle is opened?
A: Once opened, the concentrate should be used within 12 months if stored in a cool, dark place with the cap tightly sealed. Working solutions should be discarded after each use.
Q: How long should I leave the film in the solution?
A: For film, we recommend immersing the material in the working solution for 2 to 5 minutes with occasional agitation before the final wash.
Q: Does this replace the fixer step?
A: No, this is a wash aid used after the fixing step. You must still fix your film or paper normally before using this solution.
Q: Is this safe to pour down the drain?
A: While less hazardous than fixer, local disposal regulations vary. We recommend checking with your local waste management authority before disposing of large quantities.
