Works well, instructions could be clearer
The product itself is great and fixes quickly. I deducted one star because the mixing instructions on the label were a bit vague regarding temperature, but standard 20°C worked fine for me.

Reliable traditional formula
I process a lot of Tri-X 400 and this fixer handles it without any trouble. The hardening agent keeps the emulsion tough during the wash cycle. Highly recommended for home developers.

Good value, strong smell
Does exactly what a fixer should do. My negatives come out clear and stable. Just be sure to use it in a well-ventilated area as the concentrate has a fairly strong sulfur odor before dilution.

Clear results every time
No staining, no milky residue. My negatives are crystal clear after fixing and washing. The amber bottle also helps protect the concentrate from light degradation during storage.

Excellent rapid fixer for the price
I've been using this Huige concentrate for my Ilford HP5 rolls and it works perfectly. Clears the film in about 3 minutes with constant agitation. The 100ml bottle goes a long way since you only need to mix small batches.

Perfect for students
As a photography student on a budget, this is a lifesaver. Being able to configure 100ml into 500ml of working solution saves me money compared to buying ready-to-use gallons. No issues with archival quality so far.
Q: How long does the working solution last once mixed?
A: Once diluted to the 1:4 ratio, the working solution is typically good for several weeks if stored in an airtight, full bottle away from light. However, for best archival results, we recommend mixing fresh batches monthly for regular use.
Q: Does this contain a hardener?
A: Yes, this concentrate includes a hardening agent which helps prevent the gelatin emulsion from becoming too soft during the washing process, reducing the risk of scratches.
Q: What is the recommended fixing time at 20 degrees Celsius?
A: At 20°C (68°F), the recommended fixing time is approximately 3 to 5 minutes with intermittent agitation. Always fix for twice the clearing time to ensure permanence.
Q: Is this compatible with Kodak T-Max films?
A: Yes, this rapid fixer is fully compatible with all modern black and white silver halide films, including Kodak T-Max, Ilford Delta, and Fomapan series.
Q: Can I reuse the working solution for multiple rolls?
A: Yes, you can reuse the working solution. A general rule of thumb is that 500ml of working solution can handle roughly 4 to 6 rolls of 35mm film. Increase the fixing time slightly for subsequent rolls.
