Good results, slight sediment
The developer works well and gives consistent negatives. I noticed a tiny bit of undissolved powder at the bottom of the mixing jug, but it didn't affect the final images. Just stir longer.

Perfect for my home darkroom
This powder mixes easily with distilled water. I've used it on Ilford HP5 and Kodak Tri-X with excellent grain structure and sharpness. Great value for the small batch size.

Consistent grain
I switch between different developers often, but I keep coming back to this formula. It provides very fine grain and maintains shadow detail effectively.
Q: How much water do I need to mix with the entire bottle?
A: The contents of this small bottle are designed to be mixed with distilled water to create exactly 1 liter of working solution.
Q: Does the powder expire if left unopened?
A: If kept in its original sealed container in a dry environment away from direct sunlight, the powder has an indefinite shelf life.
Q: What is the recommended storage temperature for the mixed solution?
A: Once mixed, store the solution in a cool, dark place, ideally between 50°F and 70°F (10°C - 21°C), in an airtight container to minimize oxidation.
Q: Is this formula compatible with push processing?
A: Yes, you can use this developer for push processing. Please refer to standard time/temperature charts for D-76 to adjust your development times accordingly.
Q: Can this be used for color film processing?
A: No, this developer is formulated exclusively for black and white negative film. It will not work correctly for color film processes like C-41 or E-6.
