Perfect fit for my JOBO tank
I was worried about compatibility, but this reel slides into my 2509N tank perfectly. The loading mechanism is smooth and holds the 4x5 sheets securely without bending corners.

Essential for large format developers
If you shoot 4x5 sheet film, this is a must-have. It allows for consistent agitation and even development. I've processed over 20 rolls with no issues so far.

Good but requires practice
The reel itself is fine, but loading 4x5 sheets in the dark takes some practice. Once you get the hang of it, it works well. Just be patient during your first few tries.

Smooth operation

Great value alternative
Works just as well as the original manufacturer part but at a fraction of the cost. The plastic feels sturdy and chemical resistant. Only minor issue is the instructions could be clearer.

Reliable and durable
I have been using this for six months now with various developers including D-76 and HC-110. No signs of wear or chemical damage. Excellent product.
Q: Does this come with a center column or just the reels?
A: This package includes only the developing reels. The center column and tank body are sold separately or included if you purchase the full tank kit.
Q: Does this reel work with the older JOBO 2500 series tanks?
A: Yes, this reel is designed to be fully compatible with the JOBO 2500 series, including the 2509N model.
Q: How difficult is it to load the sheet film in complete darkness?
A: It requires some initial practice like any large format reel. We recommend practicing with expired film in daylight first to understand the clip mechanism before loading in the darkbag.
Q: Is the plastic safe for use with Ilford Ilfosol 3?
A: Absolutely. The reel is made from high-grade ABS plastic that is resistant to all standard black and white and color film developers, fixers, and washes.
Q: Can I develop more than one sheet at a time?
