Essential for messy ink lovers

Great value for the price
For such a low cost, this solves a major annoyance. The silicone is soft and doesn't scratch the pen nib area. I wish it came in a pack of two just in case I lose one.

Simple but effective

Works well with most converters
It fits perfectly on my Pilot and Lamy converters. The suction is strong enough to pull ink up smoothly. It didn't fit quite as snugly on an older, non-standard converter I have, but for 90% of my pens, it's perfect.
Q: What are the dimensions of the opening?
A: The opening is designed to be elastic and stretchable, accommodating the standard diameter of most international converter ends (approximately 4mm to 6mm). The elasticity ensures a tight seal on various brands.
Q: Can this be used to empty a converter for cleaning?
A: While primarily designed for filling, you can technically use it to help push water through a converter during cleaning by reversing the action, though its main design optimization is for drawing liquid in via suction.
Q: Does this work with proprietary cartridge systems like Pilot Namiki?
A: Yes, as long as you are using a converter that attaches to the pen, this tool fits over the back of the converter to assist with suction. It does not work directly with disposable cartridges unless they are inserted into a compatible converter first.
Q: Is the material safe for use with all types of fountain pen ink?
A: Absolutely. The tool is made from high-grade silicone and plastic that is resistant to standard fountain pen inks, including dye-based, pigment, and shimmer inks. It will not degrade or react with the chemicals in the ink.
Q: How do I clean the tool after using dark or shimmer ink?
