Beautiful but slow drying
The color is gorgeous and the bottle is elegant. My only complaint is that it takes a bit longer to dry than standard inks due to the metallic properties.

Great flow, needs good paper
This ink flows very smoothly through my nib. However, you definitely need fountain pen friendly paper to see the metallic luster properly without feathering.

Absolutely Stunning Sheen

Worth every penny
The packaging was secure and the ink quality is top notch. The Aegean Gem name fits perfectly; it looks like the ocean under sunlight.
Q: How long does the 50ml bottle typically last?
A: Lifespan depends on usage frequency and nib size. For an average daily writer using a medium nib, a 50ml bottle can last several months.
Q: Can I mix this with other Ostrich ink colors?
A: While technically possible, we do not recommend mixing different ink lines or colors as it may alter the chemical balance, affect the sheen, or cause sedimentation.
Q: Is this ink safe to use in a vintage fountain pen?
A: Yes, this is a non-carbon, dye-based ink which is generally safe for vintage pens, provided the pen is in good working condition and cleaned regularly.
Q: Does the metallic sheen appear on all types of paper?
A: The metallic sheen and gradient effects are most prominent on coated or high-gsm fountain pen paper. Standard copy paper may absorb the ink too quickly to show the full effect.
Q: Is the bottle glass or plastic?
A: The Ostrich Sheen series comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a secure cap and an integrated dropper for easy filling.
