Decent but runs out fast
The ink quality is good and the color is nice, but the cartridges seem to run out faster than converter-filled pens. Good for travel though, as they are lightweight and easy to swap.

Classic Japanese quality
You can really tell the difference in manufacturing quality compared to generic brands. These fit snugly and the ink saturation is perfect for fine and medium nibs.

Good value, reliable ink
I've been using Pilot cartridges for years. They are reliable and don't dry out quickly even if I leave the pen capped for a few days. Only giving 4 stars because I wish they came in larger bulk packs.

Smooth writing experience
The dye ink flows very smoothly without skipping. It's not waterproof, which is expected for dye ink, but it writes beautifully on standard notebook paper. Great product from Japan.

Essential for Pilot owners
If you have a Pilot pen that takes international standard or proprietary Pilot cartridges, these are a must-have. The quality control is excellent; I've never had a leaky cartridge.

Perfect fit for my Pilot 78G
These cartridges slide in effortlessly and provide a consistent flow. The black ink is deep and rich, making my daily journaling a pleasure. Highly recommended for anyone owning a Pilot fountain pen.
Q: Is this ink waterproof?
A: No, this is a dye-based non-carbon ink, so it is not waterproof. If you need water-resistant ink, please look for our Pigment Ink options.
Q: Can I use these in a Lamy Safari?
A: No, Lamy Safari pens require specific Lamy Z28 cartridges or a converter. Pilot cartridges have a different shape and will not fit Lamy pens.
Q: What is the difference between IC-50 and IC-100?
A: There is no difference in the ink or the cartridge size; 'IC-50' and 'IC-100' refer to different packaging configurations or regional SKUs for the same standard Pilot cartridge.
Q: Are these cartridges compatible with the Pilot Metropolitan?
A: Yes, the IC-50 and IC-100 cartridges are fully compatible with the Pilot Metropolitan (also known as the Pilot MR in some regions).
Q: How many pages can one cartridge write?
A: This varies based on nib size and writing style, but generally, one cartridge can last for several thousand words or roughly 10-20 pages of continuous writing with a medium nib.
