Perfect for my short charcoal sticks

Great for colored pencils too

Works well but tightens too much

It holds the pencil securely, maybe too securely. I sometimes struggle to loosen the collet to change pencils. Otherwise, it's a solid product.

Good value, slightly heavy

Does exactly what it says. The aluminum build is nice but makes it a bit heavier than a wooden pencil. Still, great for extending life of expensive art supplies.

Q: Is the grip rubber or metal?

A: The entire body, including the grip area, is made of aluminum alloy with a knurled (textured) pattern to provide a non-slip surface without using rubber.

Q: Does it come with a carrying case?

A: No, the product comes individually packaged in a protective box, but a separate carrying case is not included in the package.

Q: How do I clean the inside if graphite gets stuck?

A: You can simply unscrew the collet completely and wipe the interior with a dry cloth or a cotton swab to remove any graphite buildup.

Q: Can I use this with mechanical pencils?

A: No, this product is intended for traditional wood-cased pencils, charcoal, and colored pencils. It is not compatible with mechanical pencil leads or bodies.

Q: Will this fit oversized charcoal pencils?

A: This extender is designed for standard diameter pencils (approx. 7-8mm). It may not securely hold oversized or jumbo-sized charcoal sticks.
