Perfect fit for my MK8 setup
These throat tubes are exactly what I needed. The M6 threading is precise and the PTFE core slides in smoothly without gaps. My extrusion is much more consistent now.

Great value for a 5-pack
You get five high-quality tubes for a very reasonable price. It's nice to have spares on hand when one eventually wears out or gets damaged during maintenance.

Solved my clogging issues
I was experiencing frequent jams with my old brass throat. Switching to these stainless steel ones with the PTFE liner completely solved the problem. Highly recommended for PLA printing.

Exactly as described
No surprises here, just a well-made replacement part that does exactly what it says on the tin. Installation was straightforward and my printer is running quietly again.

Good quality stainless steel
The build quality is solid. They feel durable and the stainless steel finish looks professional. Took off one star because shipping took a bit longer than expected, but the product itself is great.

Solid upgrade component
The dimensions match the specifications perfectly (M6x26). The transition between the metal and the PTFE is smooth, which helps prevent filament snagging. A reliable upgrade part.
Q: Is this compatible with E3D V6 hotends?
A: This specific model is designed for Makerbot MK8 extruders with M6 threading. While some V6 clones use M6, the length and internal geometry may differ, so we recommend checking your specific hotend dimensions before purchasing.
Q: Can I use this for ABS filament?
A: Yes, you can use this for ABS. However, since ABS often requires higher printing temperatures, ensure you do not exceed the 260°C limit of the PTFE liner. For frequent high-temp printing, an all-metal heat break might be a better long-term solution.
Q: How do I install this if my old one is stuck?
A: Ensure the hotend is heated to about 200°C to loosen any residue before attempting removal. Use a properly sized wrench on the hexagonal section of the throat tube to unscrew it counter-clockwise. Be careful not to strip the threads.
Q: What is the maximum temperature these can handle safely?
A: The stainless steel body can withstand very high temperatures, but the PTFE core is rated up to approximately 260°C. We recommend staying within this limit to prevent degradation of the liner.
Q: Does this come with a heat break or just the throat tube?
A: This package includes only the stainless steel throat tube with the pre-installed PTFE core. The heat break and heater block are sold separately.
