Good value upgrade
Does exactly what it promises. The integrated throat tube design seems to reduce heat creep significantly. Only giving 4 stars because the silicone sock included is a bit difficult to stretch over the block.

Solved my clogging issues
I was constantly getting clogs with standard brass nozzles when printing glow-in-the-dark PLA. This upgraded assembly completely eliminated the problem. The flow is consistent and layers look crisp.

Great quality, slightly tight fit
The build quality is excellent and the metal throat tube feels very robust. I had to apply a little extra force to seat it properly in the heater block, but once installed, temperature stability is perfect.

Essential for serious printing
If you plan on printing anything other than basic PLA, get this hotend. The hardened steel nozzle handles everything I throw at it, and the metal tube ensures consistent melting. Zero regrets.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
I switched to this hotend specifically to print carbon fiber nylon, and it has been flawless. The hardened steel nozzle shows no signs of wear after 2kg of filament. Installation on my X1-Carbon took less than 10 minutes.
Q: Does this require any firmware updates?
A: No firmware updates are required. The assembly is a direct hardware replacement and works immediately with your current firmware version.
Q: Is the thermal paste pre-applied?
A: Yes, high-quality thermal paste is pre-applied between the heater block and the throat tube to ensure optimal heat transfer. You do not need to apply additional paste during installation.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
A: No, this TZ4.0 assembly is specifically designed for the X1, X1-Carbon, P1P, and P1S series. It is not compatible with the A1 or A1 mini models due to different mounting mechanisms.
Q: Can I use this with 0.2mm or 0.6mm nozzles?
A: This unit comes pre-installed with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. While the hotend block supports swapping nozzles, we recommend using only hardened steel nozzles of compatible thread sizes to maintain performance.
Q: What is the maximum safe temperature for continuous printing?
A: While the components can withstand up to 300°C, we recommend a continuous operating temperature of 280°C or lower to ensure the longevity of the thermistor and heater cartridge.
