Consistent flow rate

After 50 hours of printing, the flow rate remains incredibly consistent. No clogs so far, even when switching between different abrasive materials. The surface finish on my prints is just as good as it was with a new brass nozzle.

Good value for money

Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's not cheap compared to generic nozzles, but knowing it won't deform after a few prints saves money in the long run. Deducting one star only because shipping took a bit longer than expected.

Solved my clogging issues

I was constantly battling clogs with metallic fill filaments. Since installing this hardened steel nozzle on my Max3, those problems have completely disappeared. The internal bore looks very smooth and precise.

Great quality, slightly longer heat up

The build quality is excellent and it fits my QIDI Plus3 perfectly. I did notice it takes about 10-15 seconds longer to reach target temperature compared to brass, likely due to the material density, but the durability makes up for it.

Perfect for abrasive filaments

Essential upgrade

If you own a Q1 Pro and plan on printing anything other than standard PLA, buy this immediately. It handles glass-filled nylon without any issues. The threads were perfect and it installed easily without stripping.

Q: Does this come with a wrench for installation?

A: The package includes the nozzle and a cleaning needle, but it does not include a wrench. You will need a standard 7mm socket or a dedicated nozzle wrench, which is usually included with your QIDI printer originally.

Q: Do I need to recalibrate my E-steps after installation?

A: Generally, no. Since the nozzle diameter remains 0.4mm, your slicer settings and E-steps should remain the same. However, we always recommend running a flow calibration test print after changing any hotend components to ensure optimal results.

Q: Is this nozzle compatible with the older QIDI X-Max model?

A: No, this specific hardened steel nozzle is designed exclusively for the Max3, Plus3, and Q1 Pro models. The threading and geometry differ from the older X-Max series. Please check our store for X-Max compatible parts.

Q: What is the exact thread pitch?

A: The nozzle features a standard M6 thread with a 1.0mm pitch, which is the standard for QIDI printers in the specified compatible list.

Q: Can I use this nozzle with pure copper filament?

A: While hardened steel is more durable than brass, pure copper filament is extremely abrasive and may still cause wear over time. We recommend it for carbon fiber, glass fiber, and wood-fill composites. For pure metal filaments, frequent inspection is advised.
