Excellent heat retention
The temperature stability on this nozzle is impressive. I print a lot of high-temperature polymers, and this maintains consistency better than my previous hardened steel nozzles. The flow rate is also very smooth.

Perfect for abrasive materials
I switched to this silicon carbide nozzle after ruining three brass ones with carbon fiber PLA. It has been running flawlessly for over 2kg of filament with no signs of wear. Highly recommended for anyone printing abrasive composites.

No more clogs!
I was skeptical about spending this much on a nozzle, but it has saved me hours of troubleshooting. My prints with wood-fill PLA are now consistent, and I haven't had a single partial clog since installation.

Industry standard for a reason
Phaetus makes some of the best nozzles on the market. The SiC material is incredibly hard yet conducts heat well. If you are serious about engineering filaments, this is the nozzle to buy.

Solid upgrade
Easy to install and immediately noticed better layer adhesion on tough materials. Just make sure to torque it correctly; don't overtighten it when the hotend is cold to avoid stripping threads.

Great quality, slightly pricey
This is undoubtedly a high-quality component. It fits my V6 hotend perfectly and handles glow-in-the-dark filament without clogging. The only reason for 4 stars is the price point, but you get what you pay for in durability.
Q: Does it come with a wrench for installation?
A: Yes, the package includes one nozzle and a small specialized wrench to assist with safe installation and removal.
Q: How does the wear resistance compare to hardened steel?
A: Silicon Carbide (SiC) is generally harder and more wear-resistant than hardened steel, offering a longer lifespan when printing highly abrasive composite filaments.
Q: Can I use this with regular PLA or just abrasive filaments?
A: You can absolutely use this with regular PLA, PETG, and ABS. While it is optimized for abrasive materials like carbon fiber, it works excellently with all standard 1.75mm filaments.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature?
A: This silicon carbide nozzle can safely operate at temperatures up to 450°C, making it suitable for most high-temperature engineering filaments available today.
Q: Is this nozzle compatible with E3D V6 hotends?
A: Yes, the Phaetus Original Nozzle V6 is specifically designed to be fully compatible with standard E3D V6 style hotends using M6 threads.
