Great flow, slight stringing
Overall excellent filament. The flow is consistent and colors are vibrant. I did experience minor stringing at higher temperatures, but once I dialed in the retraction settings, it printed flawlessly.

Easy to print with
As a beginner, I found this very forgiving. It doesn't warp much even without an enclosure. The only reason for 4 stars is the price is a bit higher than basic PLA, but the quality justifies it.

Perfect for high-speed printing
I was skeptical about the high-speed claims, but this filament runs beautifully at 250mm/s on my Bambu Lab. The matte finish hides layer lines incredibly well, and the toughness means my functional parts aren't snapping under stress.

Consistent diameter
We go through spools quickly in our studio. This batch had zero jams or clogs, which suggests the diameter tolerance is very tight. The matte black color is deep and rich.

Tougher than standard PLA
I use this for mechanical brackets and gears. It has significantly better layer adhesion and impact resistance compared to generic PLA. The 'High Toughness' claim is legitimate.

Amazing matte texture
The surface quality is outstanding. It gives prints a professional, non-glossy look right off the printer. No need for post-processing sanding. Highly recommend for display models.
Q: Is this material biodegradable?
A: Yes, since it is based on PLA (Polylactic Acid), it is derived from renewable resources like corn starch and is biodegradable under specific industrial composting conditions.
Q: Can this be painted or glued easily?
A: Yes, the matte texture actually provides an excellent surface for painting as primer adheres very well. Standard PLA glues like cyanoacrylate (super glue) or epoxy work effectively for assembly.
Q: Does the matte finish require a heated bed?
A: While not strictly mandatory for small prints, we strongly recommend a heated bed set between 40°C and 60°C to ensure optimal first-layer adhesion and prevent warping on larger objects.
Q: What is the shelf life of this filament if kept sealed?
A: If stored in its original sealed packaging with desiccant in a cool, dry place, the filament maintains optimal print quality for up to 2 years.
Q: Is this filament compatible with the Creality Ender 3 V3?
A: Yes, absolutely. As long as your printer accepts 1.75mm filament, the K5™ PLA-M will work perfectly. Its high-speed formulation is especially beneficial for newer fast-printing models like the V3.
