Essential for high-temp materials
I use this for printing polycarbonate and it handles the temperature stability beautifully. The PT100 compatibility is exact, no gaps or loose fittings.

Exactly as described
Mellow never disappoints. The threading is clean, and the hole for the thermistor is precise. Highly recommended for anyone upgrading their hotend.

Good quality but requires tuning
The build quality is excellent. However, because copper conducts heat so well, I had to adjust my PID settings to prevent overheating. Once tuned, it works flawlessly with the PT100 sensor.

Great performance, watch the fan
Performance is top-notch. Just make sure your part cooling fan is directed correctly, as the copper radiates heat more than aluminum. Otherwise, a fantastic accessory.

Perfect thermal conductivity
This copper block heats up much faster than the standard aluminum one. My print times have decreased slightly due to better heat recovery during retractions. Fits my E3D V6 perfectly.

Solid upgrade
Easy to install and immediately noticed more consistent extrusion. The copper material feels premium compared to the stock parts.

A: Yes, because copper has different thermal properties than aluminum, it is highly recommended to run a new PID autotune calibration to ensure accurate temperature control.
Q: What is the advantage of copper over aluminum for the heating block?
A: Copper offers superior thermal conductivity, which results in faster heat-up times and better heat distribution across the melt zone, leading to more consistent extrusion.
Q: Does the package include the thermistor or just the block?
A: The package includes only the copper heating block. You will need to reuse your existing PT100 thermistor or purchase one separately if you do not have one.
Q: Can this handle ABS filament printing temperatures?
A: Absolutely. This heating block is rated for temperatures well above what is required for ABS, PLA, PETG, and even higher-temperature engineering filaments.
