Excellent durability
I've been running this setup for three months now with daily prints. No signs of wear on the silicone or oxidation on the block. The PT100 version is definitely worth the extra cost for stability.

Best value for V6 upgrades

Stable temperatures achieved
My layer adhesion improved immediately after installing this. The heat distribution is much more even than the stock brass block. Highly recommend for anyone pushing their printer to higher temperatures.

Perfect upgrade for high-temp filaments
This aluminum block paired with the silicone sleeve works flawlessly. I switched to printing ABS and Nylon without any temperature fluctuations. The PT100 sensor reads very accurately compared to my old thermistor setup.

Good quality, tight fit
The machining on the aluminum block is precise. The silicone sleeve fits snugly, which is great for heat retention. Just make sure you have the right tools to install it tightly without stripping threads.

Works well but installation was tricky
The part itself seems high quality and prints look good now. However, the instructions were minimal, and I struggled a bit getting the silicone sleeve aligned correctly on the first try.
Q: Can I use standard M6 nozzles with this block?
A: Absolutely. This block uses the standard M6 thread pattern, so it is compatible with all standard M6 nozzles including brass, steel, and hardened steel varieties.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature for the silicone sleeve?
A: The high-temperature silicone sleeve is rated to withstand continuous operation up to 300°C (572°F), making it suitable for most engineering filaments like Polycarbonate and Nylon.
Q: Is this compatible with the E3D V6 Lite hotend?
A: Yes, this upgraded aluminum block and silicone sleeve are fully compatible with both the standard E3D V6 and the V6 Lite hotend systems.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my PID settings after installing this?
A: Yes, because the aluminum block has different thermal properties than a brass block, we strongly recommend performing a PID autotune after installation to ensure optimal temperature stability.
Q: Does this kit include the PT100 sensor itself or just the block prepared for it?
A: This kit includes the aluminum heating block machined for a PT100 sensor and the silicone sleeve. The PT100 sensor probe must be purchased separately unless your existing hotend already has one installed.
