Exceeded expectations
As someone new to modifying printers, I was worried about installation. The instructions were clear enough, and the print quality improvement was immediate. Very happy with this purchase.

Best value for high-temp materials
I switched from a standard brass block to this ceramic one for printing polycarbonate. The temperature stability is night and day. Highly recommend for anyone pushing material limits.

Good but requires tuning
Performance is excellent once you dial in your PID settings. The ceramic holds heat so well that default profiles might need tweaking. Worth the effort for the quality gain.

Perfect upgrade for my Voron
This ceramic hotend kit transformed my print quality. The heat retention is incredible, and I no longer experience heat creep even during long ABS prints. Installation on my V2.4 was straightforward.

Great performance, tricky install
The printing results are fantastic with much more consistent temperatures. However, aligning the ceramic block took some patience. Once set up, it runs like a dream.

Solid build quality
Everything fit perfectly into my Prusa setup with minor adjustments. The ceramic material feels very durable, and the included thermal paste was a nice touch.
Q: Can I use this with flexible filaments like TPU?
A: Yes, you can print TPU with this hotend. Ensure you adjust your retraction settings, as the Volcano geometry has a larger melt zone which can sometimes cause oozing with flexible materials.
Q: Do I need to update my firmware after installing this?
A: Firmware updates are not strictly required, but recalibrating your PID settings is highly recommended to account for the different thermal properties of the ceramic block.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature for the ceramic block?
A: The ceramic block itself can withstand temperatures well over 500°C. However, your safe operating limit depends on your thermistor, heater cartridge, and filament type. We recommend staying under 450°C for standard setups.
Q: Does this kit come with a nozzle, or do I need to buy one separately?
A: Yes, the kit includes one M6 Volcano-style nozzle. However, we recommend having spare nozzles of various sizes for different projects.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Prusa i3 MK2.5?
A: This kit is primarily designed for the MK3/S/+ series and VORON 2.4. While it might fit the MK2.5 with significant modification, we cannot guarantee compatibility or performance on that model.
