Exceeded expectations
Switched from a standard single extruder to this kit and the difference in speed and versatility is night and day. The volcano nozzle handles abrasive filaments surprisingly well too.

Perfect upgrade for multi-material printing
This dual input kit transformed my old printer into a multi-material powerhouse. The volcano block heats up quickly and maintains stable temperatures even at high flow rates. Installation took about an hour following the manual.

Good value for the price
For the cost, you get a lot of hardware. The dual extrusion works well once calibrated. My only critique is that the instructions could be more detailed regarding firmware configuration for dual inputs.

Great quality, minor wiring adjustment needed
The build quality is excellent and the nozzles are precise. I had to slightly adjust the wiring harness length for my specific frame, but once set up, it prints beautifully with both PLA and PETG.

Solid construction and reliable
I've run this continuously for over 50 hours without any clogging or temperature fluctuations. The aluminum block dissipates heat well, and the included thermistor is accurate compared to my external gauge.

High flow rate is impressive
If you need to print large volume parts quickly, this volcano hotend is the way to go. The dual output allows for support material switching without pausing. Very satisfied with the performance.
Q: How difficult is the firmware setup for dual input?
A: It requires enabling multi-extruder settings in your firmware (Marlin/Klipper). We provide a link to a configuration guide in the product manual download section to assist you.
Q: Does the package include silicone socks for the heat block?
A: The standard kit does not include silicone socks, but they are available as an add-on accessory. We highly recommend using them to maintain consistent thermal performance.
Q: What is the maximum print speed recommended with the volcano nozzle?
A: With the 0.6mm nozzle, users typically achieve reliable prints at 80-100 mm/s. For the 0.8mm nozzle, speeds can go higher depending on your printer's mechanical stability.
Q: Can I use flexible TPU filament with this dual extruder?
A: Yes, but we recommend using the direct drive configuration rather than Bowden for best results with flexible materials. Ensure the gear tension is adjusted correctly to prevent grinding.
Q: Is this kit compatible with 12V printer boards?
A: No, this specific kit is designed for 24V systems. Using it with a 12V board will result in insufficient heating. We offer a 12V version in our store if needed.
