Great precision, slight learning curve
The print quality improved noticeably with the brass nozzle for standard PLA. Had to adjust temperature settings slightly higher than stock, but results are crisp.

Essential for our lab printers
We bought several of these for our office Ender-5 Max units. They handle continuous operation well and the swap process is quick when changing materials.

Robust build quality
Very solid construction. The threading is perfect and there were no leaks during high-speed printing tests. Highly recommend for anyone pushing their machine limits.

Good value for money
Does exactly what it says. The brass nozzle is great for speed, and having the steel one included for tougher materials is a nice bonus. Shipping was fast too.

Consistent extrusion at high speeds
I run my printer at max speed for prototypes and this extruder head maintains consistent flow. No clogging issues even during 12-hour prints.

Perfect upgrade for abrasive filaments
Switched to the hardened steel nozzle option and it handles carbon fiber PLA without any wear after 2kg of printing. The fit on my Ender-5 Max was seamless.
Q: Does this come with a thermal paste or insulator sock?
A: The package includes the extruder head assembly and nozzles. Thermal paste and silicone socks are sold separately, though your existing parts from the stock hotend may be reusable.
Q: How difficult is the installation process?
A: Installation is straightforward for users familiar with basic 3D printer maintenance. It typically involves removing the old hotend, transferring the fan and heater cartridge, and securing the new unit. Detailed instructions are included in the box.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Ender-5 or only the Max version?
A: This specific extruder head is designed exclusively for the Creality Ender-5 Max due to differences in mounting and hotend geometry. It is not compatible with the standard Ender-5.
Q: What is the maximum temperature rating for the brass nozzle?
A: The brass nozzle is rated up to approximately 260°C. For temperatures exceeding this, we strongly recommend switching to the included hardened steel nozzle.
Q: Can I use the hardened steel nozzle with flexible TPU filament?
A: Yes, you can use TPU with the hardened steel nozzle. However, ensure your retraction settings are tuned correctly as the internal surface friction may differ slightly from brass.
