Perfect for Carbon Fiber Prints
Finally upgraded to the hardened steel hotend and the difference is night and day. I can now print CF-PLA without worrying about nozzle wear. Installation was straightforward following the official guide.

Great upgrade but pricey

Solid performance
Works exactly as advertised. The hardened steel nozzle is a must-have if you plan to use glass-filled nylon. Deducted one star because the included thermal paste tube was almost empty.

Easy Swap
Love the detachable design. Swapped my old extruder head for this one in under 10 minutes. The printer recognized it immediately and calibration ran smoothly.
Q: Does this come with a 0.6mm nozzle option?
A: This unit ships standard with a 0.4mm hardened steel nozzle. However, the hotend is compatible with Bambu Lab's range of hardened steel nozzles (0.2mm to 0.8mm) which can be purchased separately.
Q: Can I use this with regular PLA without issues?
A: Absolutely. You can print standard PLA, PETG, and other non-abrasive materials just as you did with the brass nozzle. The only difference is the increased durability against accidental abrasives.
Q: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature?
A: The hardened steel hotend is rated for continuous operation up to 300°C, making it suitable for high-temperature engineering filaments like Polycarbonate and Nylon.
Q: Do I need to update the firmware before installing?
A: While not strictly mandatory, we highly recommend updating your printer to the latest firmware version to ensure optimal temperature control and compatibility with the new sensor profile.
Q: Is this compatible with the original X1 non-Carbon model?
A: Yes, the Extruder Head 3.0 is fully compatible with the original Bambu Lab X1, as well as the X1C, P1P, and P1S models.
