Essential accessory for ABS printing
When printing with ABS or ASA, this sock helps maintain consistent ambient temperatures inside the chamber. My warping issues have decreased significantly since installing it.

Good quality, slightly tight at first
The material feels durable and heat resistant. It was a bit difficult to slide on initially, but once installed, it stays in place perfectly during long prints.

Peace of mind for kids' room printer
I have my printer in a shared space, and this cover ensures that no one accidentally touches the hot nozzle. It's a simple but very effective safety upgrade.

Does the job well
Solid construction and good heat retention. The only minor issue is that it collects a bit of dust over time, but that is easy to clean off.
Q: How often should I replace the silicone sock?
A: There is no fixed replacement schedule. You should inspect it periodically for tears, excessive brittleness, or deformation. Under normal use, it can last for years.
Q: What is the maximum temperature this silicone can withstand?
A: This high-temperature silicone sock is rated to withstand continuous exposure up to 300°C (572°F), which covers all standard filament printing temperatures.
Q: Can I leave this on while printing PLA?
A: Yes, you can leave it on for PLA prints. While it is most beneficial for high-temperature filaments like ABS, it does not negatively affect PLA printing and adds a layer of safety.
Q: Does this interfere with the part cooling fan?
A: No, the design includes precise cutouts to ensure unrestricted airflow from the part cooling fan to the nozzle tip.
Q: Is this compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 mini?
A: No, this specific model is designed exclusively for the X1, X1-Carbon, P1P, and P1S series hotends. Please check our store for A1 series accessories.
