Solid everyday option
Simple, reliable, and easy to integrate with my existing setup.
Q: Is the PTFE coating safe for food-contact prints?
A: While the PTFE coating is food-safe in its raw state, 3D printed parts generally have layer lines that can harbor bacteria. We do not recommend using any standard 3D printed parts for direct food contact without post-processing sealing.
Q: What is the maximum temperature safe for the brass nozzle option?
A: For the brass nozzle variant, we recommend keeping the printing temperature below 260°C to prevent deformation. For higher temperatures, please select the stainless steel or hardened steel options.
Q: Does this come with a cleaning needle?
A: This package includes the hotend assembly and nozzle. Cleaning needles are typically sold separately or included in the general maintenance kit for the A1 series.
Q: How often should I replace the hardened steel nozzle?
A: Hardened steel nozzles are highly durable and can last significantly longer than brass, often exceeding 1kg of abrasive filament. Replace it only if you notice consistent under-extrusion or visible wear at the tip.
Q: Can I use this hotend with the original Bambu Lab A1 non-mini version?
A: Yes, this detachable hotend assembly is fully compatible with both the Bambu Lab A1 and the A1 mini models.
