Exceeded my expectations
As a classical player, I was hesitant about a metal mouthpiece, but this series is designed specifically for a softer tone. It delivers exactly that. Intonation is spot on, and the fatigue on my lips is reduced compared to my old setup.

Great quality, requires adjustment
The build quality is outstanding, but it took me about a week to adjust my embouchure to get the best sound out of it. Once I did, the soft tone characteristics really shined through. Perfect for jazz ballads and classical pieces.

Incredible warmth and projection
I switched from a hard rubber mouthpiece to this Yanagisawa silver-plated model for my alto sax, and the difference is night and day. The tone is incredibly smooth and warm, yet it still projects well in a big band setting. Craftsmanship is flawless as expected from a Japanese manufacturer.

Best investment for my tenor sax

Consistent and reliable
I own two of these now, one for soprano and one for alto. The consistency between the sizes is impressive. They both produce that signature Yanagisawa soft tone. The ligature included is also surprisingly good quality.

Solid choice for studio work
Records beautifully. The metal construction gives a bit more brightness than pure soft rubber, but the chamber design keeps it controlled. It sits perfectly in a mix. Only giving 4 stars because the price is a bit steep, but you get what you pay for.
Q: What is the return policy if the tip opening doesn't suit me?
A: We offer a 30-day return window for unused items in original packaging. However, due to hygiene reasons, mouthpieces that have been played cannot be returned unless there is a manufacturing defect.
Q: Can I use this on a C-Melody saxophone?
A: No, this specific model is designed for Eb Soprano, Alto, and Tenor saxophones. The bore and facing measurements will not be compatible with a C-Melody instrument.
