Works as described
Installed this on my bass to split the coils on my pickup. It did exactly what I needed. Took off one star because the shaft was slightly longer than expected.

Smooth operation
The double-layer design saves so much space in the control cavity. The switch click is positive and the volume taper is very musical.

Great upgrade component

Good quality, tight fit
The potentiometer feels durable. It was a bit tight fitting into my guitar body initially, but once installed, it works great. No crackling noise.

Perfect for my Strat mod
This push-pull pot worked flawlessly for adding a coil-split option to my humbucker. The action is smooth and the soldering tabs are well-made.
Q: Is this compatible with Fender Standard Stratocasters?
A: Yes, the 24mm long shaft is designed to fit standard Stratocaster pickguards and bodies without modification.
Q: What is the thread size for the mounting nut?
A: The mounting thread is standard M7 x 0.75mm, which fits most imported and domestic guitar hardware nuts.
Q: Does the switch stay in position or is it momentary?
A: The push-pull switch is latching, meaning it stays in the up or down position until you physically pull or push it again.
Q: Can this handle active pickups?
A: While it can physically install, 500k passive pots are generally not recommended for active pickup systems which usually require lower impedance or specific active circuitry. Please check your pickup manufacturer's specs.
Q: Can I use this for a 250k application or is it strictly 500k?
A: This unit is specifically 500k Ohm, which is ideal for humbuckers. For single-coil pickups, we recommend looking for our 250k version to maintain proper high-end response.
