Solid upgrade from stock
Much better than the plastic mouthpiece that came with my student tenor sax. The tone is clearer and it responds quickly. Took a day to get used to the resistance, but now I love it.

Bright tone as advertised
Exactly what I needed for rock and pop covers. The high notes speak easily and the sound is very present. Great value for the price compared to big name brands.

Perfect for high school bands
Bought three of these for our school's sax section. They are durable, affordable, and produce a consistent bright tone that cuts through the ensemble. No issues with squeaking even from beginners.

Easy to play for a beginner
As someone who just started learning soprano sax, this mouthpiece makes hitting the notes much easier. It feels stable in the mouth and the cap fits securely. Very happy with my purchase.

Good, but ligature could be better
The mouthpiece itself sounds fantastic and has a nice weight to it. However, the included ligature feels a bit cheap and loose. I ended up using my own Rovner. If you swap the ligature, it's a 5-star product.

Great projection without the squeak
I was skeptical about the 'no squawk' claim, but this mouthpiece delivers. The semi-metal design gives me the brightness I need for gigging without losing the warmth in the lower register. Highly recommended for alto players.
Q: What is the difference between the Eb and Bb versions?
A: The Eb version is sized for Alto and Baritone saxophones, while the Bb version is sized for Soprano and Tenor saxophones. Please select the one that matches your instrument key.
Q: Can I use synthetic reeds with this mouthpiece?
A: Absolutely. This semi-metal mouthpiece works well with both traditional cane reeds and synthetic reeds like Legere or Fibracell.
Q: Does this mouthpiece come with a reed?
A: No, this package includes the mouthpiece, a metal ligature, a protective cap, and a cushion, but it does not include a reed. You will need to purchase a reed separately.
Q: Is this suitable for a Yamaha YAS-280 Alto Saxophone?
A: Yes, this Mengsha mouthpiece is designed with a standard taper and fits most major brand alto saxophones, including the Yamaha YAS-280 series.
Q: How do I clean the semi-metal surface?
A: We recommend using a soft cloth and warm soapy water after each use. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive polishes that could damage the plating or the hard rubber core.
