Perfect for my conservatory exam

Essential for summer practice

Great quality, slightly pricey
The adhesive strength is excellent and the thinness allows for great tactile feedback. It is a bit more expensive than cotton tapes, but the performance difference is worth it for performances.

Good fit for small fingers
The width is perfect for wrapping around smaller fingers without overlapping too much. It took me one try to get the tension right, but now I can't imagine practicing without it.

A: No, this silk tape is designed for single-use application to ensure maximum hygiene and adhesive performance. Once removed, the adhesive properties diminish significantly.
Q: Can this be used for other string instruments like the Erhu?
A: While primarily designed for plucked instruments like Pipa and Guzheng where finger protection is critical, some Erhu players use it for left-hand fingering. However, it may be thinner than what traditional Erhu players prefer.
Q: How do I store the remaining tape after cutting a piece?
A: The product comes with a small protective storage case. Simply place the roll inside to keep it free from dust and lint, which helps maintain the adhesive quality.
