Good prop, slight color variation
The coin is well-made, but the patina color varied slightly from the photos. One was darker than the others. Still usable for my display, but worth noting.

Excellent dungeon loot
Bought a dozen of these for our D&D campaign as treasure rewards. The players loved the textured feel and the aged appearance adds so much to the immersion.

Great teaching aid
I use these in my history class to show students what currency looked like during the 1860s without risking damage to real antiques. They are durable and educational.

Great detail, clearly a replica
The engraving details are sharp and the aging effect is very convincing. Just remember this is a prop, not silver, but for the price, it's an excellent display piece.

Perfect for our Civil War scene
The distressing on this alloy replica looks incredibly authentic on camera. It held up well under the hot studio lights and didn't reflect glare like cheaper plastic coins.

Heavy and realistic feel
I needed a coin for my steampunk costume that felt substantial in the hand. This alloy coin has great weight and the vintage look matches my outfit perfectly.
Q: Is this coin made of real silver?
A: No, this is a handcrafted replica made from distressed zinc alloy designed to look like aged silver. It contains no precious metals.
Q: Does the package include a certificate of authenticity?
A: Since this is a replica prop and not an original antique or precious metal coin, it does not come with a certificate of authenticity for value appraisal.
Q: How resistant is the finish to scratching?
A: The distressed finish is quite durable for normal handling and display. However, like any plated alloy, excessive abrasion against rough surfaces may wear the patina over time.
Q: Can I spend this at a store?
A: Absolutely not. This item is sold explicitly as a novelty prop and collectible. It is not legal tender and attempting to use it as currency is illegal.
Q: Are the dimensions exactly the same as an 1861 Silver Dollar?
A: Yes, we have modeled this prop to match the standard diameter and thickness of the original 1861 US Silver Dollar for maximum visual accuracy in productions.
