Good quality, heavy duty
Very solid piece of steel. It is definitely hardened as advertised. I had to use a press to install it, which is expected for an interference fit. Took off one star only because the packaging was a bit minimal, but the part itself is great.

Perfect fit for my CNC upgrade
The tolerance on this sleeve is excellent. I ordered the 20mm version for a linear guide replacement, and it slid in with zero play. The surface finish is mirror-smooth, which will help reduce friction on my bearings.

Works as a great spacer
Bought this primarily as a hardened spacer between two bearings. It handles the load well and maintains alignment. The outer surface could be slightly smoother for sliding applications, but for a static spacer, it is perfect.

Precise dimensions
Measured the inner diameter with calipers immediately upon arrival. It was spot on at 18.00mm. Rare to find such precision at this price point. Will be ordering more for future projects.

Saved my old machinery
My old lathe had a worn-out bearing seat. Instead of replacing the whole shaft, I used this liner. It fit perfectly after a light hone. The machine runs as quietly as it did when it was new. Great value.

Q: What is the maximum operating temperature?
A: Given the heat treatment process (quenched and tempered), the sleeve maintains its structural integrity and hardness up to approximately 150°C (300°F). For continuous operation above this temperature, please consult our engineering team for specialized materials.
Q: Is this compatible with ceramic balls bearings?
A: Absolutely. The smooth, hardened steel surface of this sleeve is fully compatible with both steel and ceramic ball bearings. The high polish helps minimize wear on the ceramic elements.
Q: Can this sleeve be cut to a custom length?
A: Yes, the sleeve can be cut to your required length using a standard hacksaw or band saw. However, please note that cutting may require deburring the edges, and extreme heat during cutting could affect the local hardness near the cut zone.
Q: Does it come with any lubrication pre-applied?
A: The sleeve comes coated with a thin layer of anti-rust oil for storage and shipping protection. This is not a long-term lubricant. You should clean the oil off and apply the appropriate grease or oil for your specific application before installation.
