Love the custom look

I went with the transparent clear version and it looks amazing. The buttons are clicky and satisfying. My deck feels brand new again.

Best upgrade for the price

Completely transformed the aesthetic of my handheld. The matte black finish resists fingerprints well. Highly recommend taking your time during assembly.

Perfect fit and great feel

The shell fits my Steam Deck perfectly with no gaps. The buttons feel much more responsive than the stock ones. Installation took about an hour, but the included tools made it manageable.

Good quality, tricky install

The plastic quality is excellent and looks premium. However, be very careful when opening your deck; I almost cracked a ribbon cable. Follow a video guide alongside the instructions.

Decent but missing a screw

The shell itself is fine, but my kit was missing one of the tiny shoulder button screws. I had to source one locally. Customer support was slow to respond.

A: You can reuse your original screws. The kit does not include a full set of replacement screws, but it does include the specific small screws needed for the new buttons.

A: The kit includes a set of precision Phillips screwdrivers, plastic pry tools for separating the case, and tweezers for handling small components.

Q: Does this kit work with the Steam Deck OLED model?

A: No, this modification kit is designed specifically for the original LCD Steam Deck model. The internal dimensions and button placements differ on the OLED version.

Q: Will this void my warranty with Valve?

A: Yes, opening the device and modifying the shell will void the manufacturer's warranty provided by Valve. Proceed only if you are comfortable with this risk.

Q: Do I need to solder anything to install these buttons?

A: For the standard conductive rubber replacement, no soldering is needed. However, if you are installing mechanical switch mods (sold separately or in specific bundles), soldering skills are required.
