Authentic R36S is worth the extra cost
Make sure you buy the authentic version with the V30 board. The difference in heat management and frame pacing is noticeable. No more random crashes during long sessions.

Best budget handheld on the market

Perfect for PSP and PS1 games

Great value, minor setup needed

Compact and powerful
Fits perfectly in my jacket pocket. The analog sticks are surprisingly good for a device this size. Only wish the D-pad was slightly less stiff, but it might break in over time.

Good hardware, software needs tweaking
The hardware is excellent, especially the screen brightness. However, the pre-loaded game list is a bit messy. If you are willing to spend an hour organizing your libraries, it's a 5-star device.
