Solid upgrade but instructions could be better
The quality of the aluminum is excellent and it feels very sturdy. Installation took a bit longer than expected as the manual was vague, but once installed, print quality improved significantly.

Good product, slightly heavy
It works well and holds the tubes securely. However, the added weight on the print head requires some recalibration of your acceleration settings to avoid ringing artifacts.

Durable and reliable
Been using this for three months now with ABS and PLA. No signs of wear or loosening. The screws provided are good quality too. Just wish it came in black.

Perfect fit for my dual extruder setup
This aluminum block solved the wobble issue I was having with my throat tubes. The machining is precise and it fits the MK8 nozzles perfectly without any leaking.

A: No, the package only includes the aluminum fixing block and the necessary mounting screws. Heat breaks and nozzles must be purchased separately.
Q: Do I need to re-level my bed after installing this?
A: Yes, because this block may slightly alter the Z-height of your nozzles, it is highly recommended to re-level your print bed and adjust Z-offsets after installation.
Q: Is this compatible with E3D V6 hotends?
A: No, this fixing block is specifically designed for Makerbot Dual Hotend systems and MK8 threads. It is not compatible with E3D V6 mounts without significant modification.
Q: Can this be used with flexible filaments like TPU?
