Exceeded expectations

Great value for the price
Solid construction and good intonation. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the case latches feel a bit flimsy, but the instrument itself plays beautifully.

Beautiful sound projection
I use this for chamber music and it cuts through the ensemble perfectly. The response in the third octave is surprisingly easy compared to other flutes in this price range.

Good intermediate choice
Nice weight and balance. It took a few days to break in the pads, but now it seals perfectly. The offset G configuration is very comfortable for my hands.

Perfect upgrade for my student
My daughter moved from her beginner flute to the Avida and the difference is night and day. The tone is much richer and the keys feel very smooth under her fingers. Highly recommend for anyone looking to step up their game.
