Solid upgrade from my old reel
The 6.3:1 gear ratio makes retrieving lures much faster. The only minor issue is the handle knob took a day to break in, but now it's perfect.

Lightweight but strong
At 215 grams, you barely feel it on the rod, but it doesn't compromise on strength. The Black Diamond branding looks premium too. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Smooth operation right out of the box
The dual stopper inner cover works perfectly. I've used this reel for bass fishing all weekend and the retrieve is incredibly smooth. The Jian J33BL frame feels very durable.

Excellent drag system
The carbon fiber drag on the JG25 model handles heavy loads without slipping. Caught a 15lb pike and the reel performed flawlessly. Highly recommend for freshwater angling.

Great value for a complete set
Bought this for my husband who loves the Rampart series. The MPX39 cover fits snugly and the SPX45 compatibility was exactly what we needed for our existing rod setup.

If you own other models in the 50/30/40/25 line, this fits right in. The build quality is consistent with previous generations but with better internal components.
