Stay in tune forever
I installed these yesterday and have played three gigs since. Barely had to touch the tuning pegs. The stability of the high carbon steel is no joke. Highly recommend for touring musicians.

Perfect for jazz and blues
The nickel plating gives a warm yet articulate tone that cuts through the mix without being too harsh. I bought the 10-46 gauge and the tension feels perfect on my Stratocaster.

Great quality, slightly pricey
These strings sound amazing and the build quality is top-notch as expected from Japanese manufacturing. They are a bit more expensive than my usual brand, but the longevity makes up for it.

Smooth feel under fingers
The winding is very smooth, making fast runs and slides effortless. No rough spots on any of the six strings. The brightness fades very slowly compared to other brands I've tried.

Solid choice for rock
Good punchy mid-range that works great with overdrive. I wish they offered a heavier gauge option in this specific series, but the 10-46 works well for standard tuning rock rhythms.

Incredible sustain and clarity
I've been playing for twenty years and these are hands down the best strings I've used. The high carbon steel core really makes a difference in sustain. They stay in tune remarkably well even after aggressive bending.
Q: What is the actual lifespan of these strings compared to coated strings?
A: While uncoated, the high-carbon steel core and precision nickel plating offer corrosion resistance comparable to many lightly coated strings, often lasting 3-4 weeks of daily play before tone degradation.
Q: Do you sell the 09-42 and 10-46 gauges in multi-packs?
A: Currently, we sell them individually per set. However, purchasing three sets at once triggers an automatic discount at checkout.
Q: Can I use these on a baritone guitar?
A: The 10-46 gauge is designed for standard scale electric guitars. For baritone guitars, we recommend our dedicated Baritone series to ensure proper tension and intonation.
Q: Is the winding round or hexagonal?
A: These GS-6XL strings utilize a round wound construction over a hexagonal high-carbon steel core for maximum grip and tone transfer.
Q: Are these strings compatible with Floyd Rose tremolo systems?
A: Yes, these strings feature standard brass ball ends which are fully compatible with Floyd Rose and similar locking tremolo systems.
