Solid build quality
The enclosure fits perfectly and feels durable. The USB-C connection is stable, and the audio input/output pins are clearly labeled. A great all-in-one solution for learning about human-computer interaction.

Excellent for prototyping
I used this to prototype a smart home assistant node. The performance of the S3 chip is impressive for edge AI tasks. The enclosure protects the components well during testing on the bench.

Good value for money
Considering the amount of RAM and Flash, plus the case, the price is very competitive. The Wi-Fi connectivity is strong. I deducted one star only because the speaker volume could be slightly louder out of the box.

Great hardware, documentation could be better
The hardware quality is excellent and the N16R8 chip provides plenty of memory for complex models. However, setting up the specific AI dialogue framework took some digging through forums. Once running, it works flawlessly.

Perfect for AI Voice Projects
This board is exactly what I needed for my XiaoZhi AI project. The ESP32-S3 handles the voice processing smoothly, and the included enclosure saves a lot of time on 3D printing. Highly recommended for beginners.

Easy to get started
As someone new to embedded AI, this kit made the process much less intimidating. The pre-configured examples helped me understand the flow from speech-to-text to response generation quickly.
Q: Can I power this with a battery?
A: Absolutely. The board features a battery charging circuit and connector for a standard Li-Po battery. It can run autonomously once charged via the USB-C port.
Q: Does this board come with a microphone and speaker included?
A: The development board includes the necessary interfaces (I2S) and connectors for microphones and speakers, but the actual audio components are not included in the standard package. You will need to purchase them separately or use modules you already have.
Q: Is the source code for the XiaoZhi AI demo open source?
A: Yes, the reference project code for the XiaoZhi AI dialogue system is open source and available on GitHub. The link is provided in the user manual included in the box.
Q: Does it support offline voice recognition?
