Perfect for IoT Prototyping
The ability to run full Windows 10 alongside Arduino GPIO control is a game changer. I used it for a home automation hub and it handled everything smoothly.

Great board, runs a bit warm
Excellent performance for the size. The only downside is that it gets quite warm under heavy load, so I recommend adding a small fan if you enclose it.

Easy to start with
As someone new to embedded systems, having a familiar Windows interface made the learning curve much easier. Documentation could be slightly better, but community support helps.

Good but storage is limited
The 64GB storage fills up quickly after Windows updates. You will definitely need to rely on external SD cards or USB drives for larger projects.

Ideal for Education
We bought ten of these for our robotics club. Students love that they can code in Python on Windows and control hardware simultaneously without complex setups.

Seamless Integration
The integration between the x86 processor and the ATmega32u4 is flawless. Serial communication is fast and reliable for sensor data logging.
Q: Is an active cooling solution required?
A: For basic tasks, the passive heatsink is sufficient. However, for CPU-intensive applications, we recommend adding a small 5V fan to the header for optimal performance.
Q: Can I power this board directly from a battery?
A: Yes, you can power the board using a 5V power bank via Micro USB or a Li-Po battery connected to the JST PH2.0 connector, provided the voltage is regulated to 5V.
Q: Does the GPIO header work with standard Arduino libraries?
A: Absolutely. The onboard ATmega32u4 acts as an Arduino Leonardo, so you can use standard Arduino IDE and libraries to control the GPIO pins.
Q: Can this board run Linux instead of Windows?
A: Yes, while it comes with Windows 10 pre-installed, the LattePanda is fully compatible with various Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and Debian.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported via HDMI?
A: The HDMI port supports output resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz, making it suitable for most standard monitors and displays.
