Great value, documentation could be better
Hardware quality is excellent and the price point is unbeatable for a quad-core board with Wi-Fi. However, some of the pinout diagrams in the wiki were slightly outdated. Once I figured it out, development was smooth.

Ideal for drone prototypes
Due to its minimal weight and size, this board fits perfectly into my custom drone frame. The video latency from the MIPI camera is low enough for real-time stabilization algorithms.

Solid performance for the price
Boots quickly into Linux and handles multitasking well. The 512MB RAM is a bit tight for heavy browser usage, but for dedicated embedded tasks, it performs flawlessly.

Good for prototyping, check thermal limits
Works great for initial proofs of concept. Under sustained full-load CPU usage without a heatsink, it does throttle. Added a small passive cooler and now it runs stable 24/7.

Perfect for compact AI vision projects
The V821 Pico board is incredibly small yet powerful enough for my edge computing tests. The included MIPI camera works out of the box with the provided Avaota image, saving me hours of driver configuration.
Q: Can I connect a second camera module?
A: The board has one dedicated MIPI CSI connector. Adding a second camera would require a USB webcam via the USB host port, as there is only one MIPI interface available.
Q: What is the maximum resolution supported by the MIPI interface?
A: The MIPI interface can technically support up to 5MP sensors depending on the specific sensor driver implemented, but the bundled 2MP camera is optimized for performance and compatibility.
Q: Is there a JTAG header for debugging?
A: Yes, there are unpopulated pads on the PCB labeled for JTAG debugging. You will need to solder your own pins or use a pogo-pin adapter for access.
Q: How do I expand the storage beyond the built-in 8GB?
A: The board does not have an SD card slot to maintain its pico size. However, you can mount external storage via the USB Host port using a flash drive or an external SSD enclosure.
Q: Does this board support Android OS?
