Great performance, runs warm
The processing power is exactly what I needed for my robotics project. Just be aware that under full load, it gets quite hot, so active cooling is mandatory. The carrier board design is solid.

Solid industrial choice
Using this in a small-scale industrial inspection system. It handles multiple 4K streams without dropping frames. Would give 5 stars if the mounting holes were slightly more standardized.

Perfect for Edge AI Prototyping
This board is a powerhouse for computer vision projects. The Orin NX module provides incredible inference speed compared to previous generations. Setup was straightforward using the pre-flashed image.
Q: Does it support simultaneous dual 4K camera input?
A: Yes, the two MIPI CSI-2 interfaces can handle dual 4K cameras at 30fps simultaneously, leveraging the Orin NX's enhanced ISP capabilities.
Q: What version of JetPack is supported out of the box?
A: The board ships with JetPack 5.1.2 pre-installed. It is fully compatible with newer JetPack 6.x releases which can be flashed via SD card or network.
Q: Can I power this board directly via USB-C?
A: Yes, the board supports USB-C Power Delivery (PD). However, for stable performance with peripherals, we recommend using the dedicated 12V DC barrel jack.
Q: Is the GPIO header compatible with Raspberry Pi HATs?
A: The 40-pin header follows the Raspberry Pi form factor physically, but please note that voltage levels and pin functions differ. You must check the schematic before connecting Pi HATs to avoid damage.
Q: Does this board come with the Orin NX module included?
A: Yes, this SKU includes both the Waveshare carrier board and the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB core module pre-installed.
