Good Power Management
Battery life is decent when using sleep modes. The USB-C charging is convenient. Only wish it came with a case included for protection during field tests.

Great Value for AI Learning
Used this for a university project on voice-controlled robots. The microphone array picks up commands clearly even in noisy rooms. Highly recommended.

Perfect for Stereo Vision Projects

Impressive Display Quality
The LCD colors are vibrant and the touch response is accurate. Setting up the UI on such a small screen was easier than expected thanks to the resolution.

Solid Hardware, Documentation Could Be Better
Hardware quality is excellent and the ESP32-S3 handles voice recognition well. However, finding specific pinout diagrams for the binocular setup took some digging.

Easy to Start With Arduino
As someone new to ESP32, I found the Arduino library support very helpful. Got the cameras running in an afternoon. Fun product!
Q: What IDE do you recommend for developing AI models on this board?
A: We recommend using ESP-IDF for maximum performance and access to all AI features. However, Arduino IDE is also fully supported for quicker prototyping.
Q: Does the display come with a protective film?
A: Yes, the 1.28-inch LCD screen ships with a factory-applied protective film to prevent scratches during initial handling and assembly.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 3.7V Li-Po battery?
A: Absolutely. The board features a dedicated battery connector with built-in charging management. Just ensure you use a standard single-cell Li-Po battery.
Q: Does this board support simultaneous streaming from both cameras?
A: Yes, the ESP32-S3 processor is powerful enough to handle data from both OV2640 sensors simultaneously, though frame rates may vary based on resolution settings.
Q: Is the microphone sensitive enough for far-field voice commands?
A: The onboard microphone is optimized for near-to-mid range interaction (1-3 meters). For far-field applications, we recommend connecting an external microphone array via the I2S header.
