Great value, minor pin labeling issue
Overall excellent board for the price. The RISC-V core runs very efficiently. I did find one pin label on the silkscreen slightly hard to read under bright light, but the schematic clarifies everything.

Works great with MicroPython
Flashed MicroPython immediately without issues. The Bluetooth LE performance is noticeably better than older boards. Highly recommend for hobbyists.

Ideal for learning RISC-V
Bought this for my university embedded systems course. It's affordable and powerful enough for complex assignments. The USB-C port makes powering it very convenient.

Solid upgrade from ESP32

Reliable for industrial prototyping
We used these for initial prototyping of a new sensor node. Stability is good, and the 8MB flash provides plenty of space for our firmware and OTA updates.

Perfect for Wi-Fi 6 Projects
This board is fantastic. The Wi-Fi 6 support is a game changer for IoT projects requiring higher throughput. Setup with ESP-IDF was smooth and the documentation from Waveshare is clear.
Q: Does this board support 5GHz Wi-Fi networks?
A: Yes, the ESP32-C6 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi bands, compliant with the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
Q: Does it come with headers soldered?
A: No, this module typically ships without headers soldered to allow flexibility for different mounting options. You will need to solder your own headers if required.
Q: What is the maximum current draw for the 3.3V output pin?
A: The onboard LDO regulator can supply up to 600mA, but for stability, we suggest keeping the load on the 3.3V pin under 500mA.
Q: Is this compatible with the Arduino IDE?
A: Absolutely. You can install the ESP32 board manager package in Arduino IDE and select the 'Xiao ESP32C6' or relevant Waveshare profile to start coding.
Q: Can I power this board directly via the GPIO pins?
A: While there is a 5V input pin, we recommend using the USB-C port for stable power during development. If using GPIO, ensure the voltage does not exceed 5.5V to avoid damage.
