Fast shipping and well packaged

Reliable for prototyping
We use these boards for initial prototyping before moving to custom PCBs. They are robust, handle 3.3V logic perfectly, and the JTAG/SWD interface works reliably with our debuggers.

Great specs, needs external programmer
The board itself is fantastic with plenty of memory and IO. Just remember it doesn't have an onboard ST-Link debugger, so you will need an external programmer to flash code initially.

Good board, minor documentation issues
The hardware quality is solid and the chip runs at full speed without heating up. However, the included schematic could be more detailed. Once you find the right reference manual online, it's smooth sailing.

Excellent for learning ARM architecture
I bought this to transition from Arduino to professional embedded systems. The jump in performance is incredible, and the community support for this specific chip is massive. Highly recommended for students.

A: No, this is a core system board and does not include an onboard debugger. You will need an external ST-Link V2 or J-Link programmer to upload code and debug.
Q: What is the maximum current output for the 3.3V pin?
A: The onboard regulator can typically supply up to 200mA for the 3.3V rail, but we recommend keeping your peripheral load under 150mA for stable operation.
Q: Can I power this board via USB or do I need an external supply?
A: You can power the board via the micro-USB port if your specific variant includes a USB connector, or by applying 3.3V directly to the designated pins. Some versions require an external 3.3V source.
