Easy to integrate

A: The SN65HVD230 operates at 3.3V. While you can connect it to a 5V Arduino, you must use a logic level converter for the TX and RX lines to prevent damage to the module.
Q: Can I use this for OBDII vehicle diagnostics?
A: Yes, this transceiver is suitable for OBDII applications as it supports the standard CAN protocol used in most modern vehicles. Ensure your software stack is configured correctly.
Q: Does this come with a DB9 connector pre-soldered?
A: No, the module comes with pin headers. The DB9 connector footprint is available on the PCB if you wish to solder one on separately, but it is not included in the package.
Q: What is the maximum cable length supported?
A: The maximum cable length depends on the baud rate. At 1 Mbps, it supports up to 40 meters. At lower speeds like 125 kbps, it can reach up to 500 meters with proper shielding.
